The Funeral Cortege of Diego de Marcilla sets out from outside our doors, attended by hundreds of people dressed in the costume of the epoch, en route for the place where the Story of the Lovers becomes reality.

Isabel de Segura leaves the crowd to provide the kiss which Diego begged when alive, and which she, being a married woman, denied. Seconds after bestowing the kiss, Isabel falls dead over Diego’s corpse. United at last, even in death, the two unfortunates give rise to the legend of the Lovers of Teruel.
